Unlike previous generations where the styling changed gradually, the 10th generation F Series was an all new design that was offered from 1997-2003. These trucks have proven to be reliable, long lasting vehicles that are affordable to buy and maintain. Well used examples are everywhere. Nice, low mileage ones are harder to find. We liked this one for being a Southern truck with low mileage as well as for what it is, a short bed, single cab, V6 with a 5 speed manual transmission and the odd combination of rubber mat floor with the upgrade cloth split bench seat. And of course it is red. This truck is clean, looks good, drives well and has only a few imperfections. These include the tinted rear window, an aftermarket stereo and the finish failing on the dash below the radio. None of these issues make it bad truck. Our service in preparation for sale included an oil change, NC safety inspection, transmission oil changed, differential oil changed, brake fluid flush, new valve cover gaskets and third brake light.
