- Volvo S80, the flagship of the Volvo passenger line, returns to production model year 2001 relatively unchanged
- New for 2001, S80 gains a new Executive trim level, and an available rear seat video system and fax/copier machine
- S80 comes in three front-wheel drive versions, the 2.9 base model, the T6 high performance model and the new Executive, all with in-line 6-cylinder engines
- Standard equipment for all models includes anti-lock brakes, traction control, front and window curtain airbags, seatbelt pretensioners for all passengers and anti-whiplash front seatbacks and headrests
